OCT Angiography, AngioPlex® OCT Angiography from ZEISS

OCT Angiography (OCTA) is a scan that detects the motion of flowing blood cells. OCTA creates an image similar to intravenous fluorescein angiography but without the injection of contrast dye, making this a non-invasive alternative to the traditional procedure. This very new technology is useful in the evaluation of patients with Agerelated Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy, among others.
